The Adopt-A-Spot program empowers concerned citizens to take an active role in beautifying their community.  By working together we can have a positive impact on the cleanliness of our major roadways in District Four.

On the first Saturday of each month volunteers gather at the Lion's Club on Maplewood Drive at 8:00 a.m.  We form teams, get bags, t-shirts and mosquito spray and begin cleaning the right-of-ways in our designated areas.

The identified areas in District Four for adoption are: North Hazel, South Hazel, North Post Oak , South Post Oak and portions of Maplewood Drive and Beglis Parkway.

*  South Hazel has been adopted by Nancy Tower.
*  Maplewood Drive from Hazel to Shasta has been
adopted by the Sulphur High Key Club.
*  Maplewood Drive from Shasta to Beglis has been
adopted by the Sulphur Kiwanis Club.
* North Hazel is adopted by the Boy Scouts.

The other locations are usually cleaned monthly by volunteers in the community.  We hope you'll join us for future adopt-a-spot cleanups.  It's a great way to make a difference in your community and teach others by example.
