Community Advisory Panel (CAP) now "Vision Sulphur":
Next Meeting - Tuesday, October 21, 6 - 7:30 p.m. at the Aquatic Center on Parish Road. The meeting is open to the public.
The District Four CAP has undergone a major change and has expanded to include residents from the entire city. In September, more than 20 citizens from four of the five council districts in Sulphur voted on the new by laws and changed the name to: "Vision Sulphur."
The October meeting will focus on setting the topics and priorities for study over the next 10 - 12 months. Please join us.

Accomplishments and Goals:
1) Increased Communications with Council Meetings airing on the Government Channel. Future plans are to create additional committees to encourage citizen input. Committee plans currently include - Armed Forces and Environmental.
2) Quality Management concepts has been shared with Panel members. Tracking of garbage complaints has been instituted. Furture plans are to create a Quality Management System for the City of Sulphur such that our citizens are recognized as the "customers" of our City. |
3) Comphrehensive Drainage Plan and a comprehensive traffic study to guide development vision along with a more clear Zoning ordinance and application.
